They are trying to claim that the dirac and Baati is something called a kaftan or a "booboo" in their culture. However, if you search "booboo" online, you will see dresses with very different materials.
They even designed it "off the shoulder" like the guntiino!!!
They are trying to culturally appropriate Somali traditional clothes and profit.
I hope Somalis let it be known on their instagram and twitter that our culture is not to be repackages, renamed and sold by foreigners.
