Right now most of them just go on bickering about which clans had this and that. Only one I respect and genuinely cares for Somali history is this guy. Honestly refreshing anytime he posts.

The issue is that they are all mixed. Virtually every single benadiri cad cad has Somali ancestry some especially in Barawe have Swahili bantu roots as well . If they go to Yemen they'll be treated worse than ethnic Somalis

I do wish them good luck in finding their way back to Asia, not like Asians will have them back. Their fantasy of being the elites in Somalia will never be realised. Never mind the fact that there are ancient Greek/Roman records of Somalis living around Mogadishu's areas, Xamar's oral history plainly says that it was gibil madow (ethnic Somali) clans that are the oldest inhabitants of the city. Then we can go to written records from Muslim travellers, the oldest of which I believe are 12th century which also speak of dark skinned Barbars aka Somalis living in the city.

There has never been mass migration. But there have been individuals migrating , in a steady build up.
They weren't always from Waaqoyi or Puntland, a lot were from Mogadishu.
Mogadishu was already a fully formed prominent town populated by Somali natives when we have the first reference to a certain Hatim fleeing and seeking refuge in Mogadishu
