We put our ethnicity over something made up. I've always pushed whenever asked my ethnicity over any basic concept as black, I have black skin, so what? these cadaan use it conveniently to put you in a box that you have nothing to do with.

Lmao so much bitterness in that thread as if our current struggles are permanent. They really hate seeing us progress, it's crazy especially for a people who are among the lowest diaspora's in the world. I don't mind it really because Somalia is on the come up and there will be a point when they can no longer deny our unstoppable progress towards prosperity. These types will probably be the ones who will later on pretend like they didn't hate on us this much when our country enters a more favourable and respectable condition on the global stage which isn't far.

Exactly. But all this unwarranted attention they give us and the way they value our opinions, we can easily use this to our advantage in the future and become very influential in the global stage. If they care about our country and what we think this much now, imagine how much cultural influence we can have when Somalia gains economic power in the future that can compete in the global stage. This is how I'm interpreting this level of attention towards us. It's only a matter of time until all this hate turns into glazing.

This is telling in itself. Asking the "white" guy how he perceives Somalis just to get a gage on the world order, which is obviously set by "whites" in their mind.

Meanwhile Somalis could not care less what "whites" think.

Also contrary to popular belief, Somalis do not care what "Arabs" or any other group believes about them. This sets us up, as a highly unique and disruptive force to the unwritten hierarchy perceptions.

Of course the only explanation to our self confidence, strong culture, and preference to actually marry within our own ethnic group; is due to the texture of our hair and "Eurocentric" facial features, which is explainable by our admixture with the infamous wondering Caucasians.

Country is a cluster f*ck, the little oil money they get gets stolen by politicians down to the last cent, people are moving to the cities by the millions due to the insecurity in rural areas but theres no government to house them so slums get bigger and insecurity and poverty get worse, by 2050 they'll have 200 million more people this is absolutely insane when you think about it
