Madaxweynaha Somaliland Md. Muuse Biixi Cabdi iyo qaar ka mid ah Ganacsatada waaweyn iyo kuwa dhexe ee Somaliland ayaa la filayaa in ay maanta oo Khamiis ah kulan gaar ah jilbaha is dhigaan kadib Cabashadii ay maalmihii ugu dambeeyey qabeen guud ahaanba Ganacsatada waddanku kadib markii ay si weyn uga gadoodeen ku dhawaad 40% Tacriifad u dhiganta oo la Kordhiyay cashuurtii Badeecadaha Kasoo Dega Dekada Berbera iyo korodhka xukuumaddu ku samaysay qiimihii ay ku sarrifi jirtay doollarka.
Ilo-wareedyo u dhuun-daloola kulankan ayaa Wargeyska Foore u xaqiijiyey in maanta oo Khamiis ah Ganacsatadu kulan gaar ah la yeelan doonaan Madaxweynaha kadib cabashadii xoogganayd ee ay ka muujiyeen tacriifaddii cusbayd iyo qiimaha lacagtii ay xukuumaddu Doollarka ku sarrifi jirtay waxaana la filayaa in kulankaasi labada dhinac mid kastaa xujadiisa la yimaaddo iyada oo ay imika aad u kala fog yihiin.
Xukuumadda ayaa la sheegay in ay ku adkaysanayso go’aankeeda halka Ganacsataduna ay ku hanjabeen in ay gabi ahaanba joojin doonaan in ay dekedda wax kala soo degaan iyada oo khilaafkani maalmihii ugu dambeeyey uu saameeyey Dekedda Berbera oo aanay Ganacsatadu badeecooyinkoodii cashuuran halka la sheegay in alaabo badan kala soo degeen Dekedda Boosaaso.
Khilaafka cakiran ee xukuumadda iyo Ganacsatada u dhaxeeya ayaa yimid markii ay toddobaadkan xukuumaddu soo saartay Go’aan ay ku kulmisay laba arrimood oo kala ah Tacriifad Cusub oo la Kordhiyay, waxaana Kor Loo Qaaday Qiimahii ay wasaaradu wax ku Cashuuri Jirtay ee sarifka Lacagta Dollarka ah ee Cashuurta Lagu qaado oo hore u ahaan Jiray halkii doollarba 5000 oo S/land shilin ah halka ay Toddobaadkan xukuumaddu ka dhigtay 7000 oo Somaliland shilling ah.
Ganacsatada ayaa ku doodaysan in Tacriifaddaasi u dhiganto 40% oo la Kordhiyay cashuurtii Badeecadaha Kasoo Dega Dekadda Berbera, marka Laga Reebo raashinka oo Isaga La Kordhiyay 20%. Tallaabadan ay xukuumaddu qaaday ayaa keentay in ganacsato badani iyaguna badeecooyinka daruuriga ah bulshada ku kordhiyeen taasi oo culays weyn ku sii kordhisay shacabka danyarta u badan ee reer Somaliland oo marka horeba la daalaa dhacayay culayska sicir bararka iyo qiimo dhaca shilinka Somaliland.
Wararkii ugu dambeeyey ee naga soo gaadhay Dekedda Berbera ayaa tibaaxaya in aanay Ganacsatadu maalmihii ugu dambeeyey wax alaabo ah cashuuran iyada oo badeecooyinkooda ku sugan dekedda ay ku socoto wakhtiga ay yaallaan oo ay ku sii kordhi karaan cashuuro kale balse ay sheegeen in aanay aqbali Karin tallaabooyinkan ay Wasaaradda Maaliyaddu soo rogtay.

Somaliland is targeting Ethiopian imports which is a market of 100 million people. If some Somalis refuse to use Berbera then it doesn't make a difference :manny:

Ethiopia barely pays any tax for Berbera port, they get cheap rates + they own 19% of Berbera port. Most money taxed from Berbera port is actually from Somali businessmen.

The somaliland economy is being monopolized and the authorities really need to fix this up for it to grow. A reliance on a few big companies spells disaster in the future. FREE MARKETS ARE THE WAY.

Indeed that is why Puntland has a higher gdp per capita among its residents than Somaliland. Were's in Sland only few fat cats are getting rich.

This government is tryna turn the country into another Djibouti. This exhibits a slow march to autocracy because a monopolized economy and small economic elite is easier to control. For economic development they must ensure competition and as many economic players which only strengthens our recognition ambitions.

Everything has been monopolized in Somaliland even the right to import fuel. Bosaso even though it is located far up north has kept up with Berbera which is the larger port because it is the cheaper fee and with more roads being build there will be even bigger competition.

And we know how Djibouti ended up. Majority of the residents there live in poverty with high living costs.

Competition should absolutely be celebrated between SL and the somali regions, it will only strengthen each other.

SMEs should become the backbone of the economy especially to create and bolster the middle classes, because having a gilded elite and a bunch a poor people ultimately makes everyone poorer.

More malls and restaurants won't improve the economy if most of people can't afford them and to cater to the small elite and diaspora isn't a sound business model

You took the words str8 out of my mouth!

Your theory is also backed up by the clamping down on freedom of speech for certain individuals in the region.

What roads are being build? Who is paying for it?

Wasn't the second biggest project to be implemented in Puntland in the past 25 years and reported to cost 6 million, sponsored by the EU through Germany based organisation,GIZ littered with corruption and malpractices?

Who in their right mind would invest in such a huge project again from a goverment that is untrustworthy and volatile? Isn't the reason why you got that Italian mafia guy from P&O Heritage instead of DP World because of your incompetence and corruption?

An already rich class use the port for exports it has minimal impact on them, whatever is levied on them they will put the burden on the poor class.

Djibouti only has a few industries, the problem with Somaliland is the possible future industries have already been privatized to the upper class before exploitation. Whether it's mineral, oil and fuel.

Don't compare Djibouti which was an independent nation for more than a half a century yet their GDP is 1.7 billion USD compared to that of an isolated unrecognized de facto state Somaliland which has a GDP of 2 billion USD.Djibouti is a joke far worse than Somalia.

That little Ciise clan enclave is nothing more than the pet project of one really corrupt family.

Privatization is good generally however this smells of corruption. A silverlining is that they won't be state-run companies, which in Africa especially, are dangerously at the mercy of autocrats and corruption.
