Af soomaali is not even a official language in Djibouti, I don't consider them Somali tbh.
Not having the Somali language as the official language only proves what an inferiority complex many Djiboutians suffer from.

I want to visit Djibouti but I heard it's way too hot
No joke it literally feels like hell on earth :deadrose::whew:

I went back to djibouti this past summer and I could barely survive. I had to be under air conditioner 24/7 cause I'm only used to cold weather. If you visit, try going around this time of the year. The weather in Djibouti is better now since it's winter.

IOG better count his days cause he got my people going through it.

I’m having a hard time believing this is Djibouti and what’s with the french?

I know but playing it in the streets like it’s a Brazilian Favela?
It's not some ordinary streets.
In the regular areas of Djibouti you will hear mostly just somali songs.
Degeneracy and parties like these are from the rich upper class people in those gated communities, and since education is done in French, it is the language most of them use

I don't know why Arabic is there, only the Yemeni people speak it.
We have Arabic as an official language because Djibouti is apart of the Arab league like somalia
These guys are so daft, do they reply to a thread without reading other comments? 🤣

There's atleast three posts saying Somali is the most spoken and dominant language.

I've been working overtime to defend Djibouti's name from these Hordes of angry abdis.
Any other Djiboutian here to help me? :damn:

Yeah you can live In Djibouti knowing only somali and no French.
It's only used for school and government because the afars got upset

Is that an excuse though? Why can't you let both Somali and Afar be the official languages. And if y'all want to keep French and Arabic, keep them as working languages. Or keep them as they are, and make it 4 official languages. Even Ethiopia, despite our history with them has Somali as one of 5 official languages. Afars who make up 1m-ish of 115m, have their language as an official language too (despite not being among the top 5 most spoken).

As far as I understand, Somali isn't even taught at school too, or French is the main language (?) Even in Ethiopia do we use solely Somali up until high school. Djiboutians, y'all need to step up.
