Why are they flying millitary aircraft over civilian air space it’s especially dangerous since Washington DC is home to a busy commercial airport
Although the air space in DC is super strict, it happens often. Remember the Pentagon is few miles away from this airport.
The pentagon keeps getting away with bad behavior if they want to recklessly fly military aircraft they can do it in Montana or Wyoming where there plenty of open land/airspace since few people live there not next to Ronald Regan international airport
The pentagon needs to be held accountable the amount of things they’ve gotten away with since 2001 is insane things like this shoudl not be happening in Washington DC
I’m pretty sure this is the tenth year in a row they failed there audit
Helicopter Pilot was most likely at fault. He accepted visual separation on a class b air space and eventually lost sight of the passenger plane while being on an altitude that he shouldn’t have been on. Pilot was either inexperienced or suicidal.
