For those who don't know the Hawiye Era. It started in 91 when they took over Mogadishu, it lead to clan warfare first with Darod to remove them and send them back to they're deserts or utanga. The one's who went to Utanga are the ones who are in the Diaspora today well a bulk majority anyways. Then when Darod fled, the hawiye fought each over control in the 4 months war.
This was when Ali Mahdi and Aideed didn't agree who should rule the govt. Another huge wave of refugees fled this time period which includes heaps of my 'abtiyaal' and they were mainly 'banadiri' hawiyes people who lived there since time immemorial.
The Galgaduud Hawiyes(HG, Murusade, Wacaysle) packed into the city to defend they're 'turfs' in Mogadishu. Dayniile-Sigaale being strong-hold of my murusade abtis, Northern Mogadishu being Abgaal strong hold, and the HG proceeded towards the southern mogadishu where darod vacated and started occupying the looted properties.

I only can speak of the experience of 99 which falls in the 94-2004 Era after the tribal wars ended and hawiye agreed since they can't agree, to focus on warlord activities meaning, protect your turf, collect taxes, and let the warlord build investment portfolio in nairobi or inside Somalia. I hope PL collects data and facts from Somalis who lived under Hawiye control. We need to divide Hamar into 1960-69 period, kuwasi data collection baan ka rabna as they saw a nice Somalia. 1969-1991 we need to collect data about this era itself from Somalis so we know what Somalia was like. 1991-1994 the civil war era, we need these people to provide they're input about hawiyenimo era. Then 1994-2004 we need another group of people to provide they're experience on warlord era and no govt era. I can definitely speak in this ERA group cause I WAS THERE.
