One of Le Roux’s top lieutenants claimed the plan with the Somali militants was to invade Seychelles and takeover. But official investigators thought that was probably fantasy talk rather than a genuine operation.

That may seem outlandish but they probably could’ve done it. He could also could’ve got double the men if he wasn’t overpaying. They fleeced him and returned to fighting a clan war
