Your talking about ceremonial this that Americans don’t care about in 2020, talk policies, no younger person has took his ideas considering there all not implementing his actual policies, America also isn’t ageist in the sense that they want younger people, we haven’t had a non boomer president outside obama for the last 5 go around sand there the largest population these boomers are either team Biden or Bernie so age is in his favor, funnily enough he also captivated the youth more then any other candidate, heck even trump was caught saying he fears Bernie the most out of the Democrats, there’s a reason for this he can read the room and know we are now a populist country
Economy doesn’t effect them positively it’s not like farmers in those states are in the stock market, there losing there jobs due to the trade war already and he hasn’t delivered any of his promises
Trump himself said he couldn’t beat or run against free stuff, it just sells more as a populist candidate he can read the writing on the wall, yes he will win against Biden or warren but against Bernie I don’t see it, this is also why he doesn’t attack him but goes after Pocahontas and sleepy joe
The voters in the battle ground states voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012 and also voted for Trump in 2016. He can hold on to them if the economy stays the same. They don’t give a shxt about Russia interference, Ukraine, immigration. Or his childish tweets.
They care about the trade war, have you been living under a rock, just because the economy is doing well doesn’t mean there sector of it is which it’s not, farmers are going out of business left and right and are mad, and like I said the failed promises where they expected him to bring back manufacturing where he didn’t, trump won in 2016 using a populist campaign for change in these regions that really needed it and didn’t bring it and in fact impacted it negatively, a Bernie populist campaign would easily flip them instead of a trump status quo call of “keep America great” lol, it won’t sell, the people benefiting from trump is the large firms on wall street who got a tax bailout, not a small farmer in Iowa who had to shutdown because of the trade war
Even if that was the case, they don’t have enough votes to keep trump out. Whole counties trump turned blue from 2012 are not filled with farmers lol.
Bernie is more populist than trump he’s not like these other candidates sxb it’s not him keeping trump out like these other candidates it’s trump worrying about keeping him out, he resonates more through policies you can’t beat and the average American can’t turn down like say college debt removal what’s he gonna counter with? An unpopular position? Bernie would put him in bad positions at every turn, economy wise trump also can’t beat Bernie as the inequality issue begs the question what does these billionaires making more money do for you? Lower and middle class(99 percent of the country will be in favor)
