Started using Facebook early like in 2010.
Who remember the Oromo/Ethiopian chick who made that one viral and brutal video title “how the world few black women.” or something ??? That’s how I found twitter and first time learning about race/skinton/ identity politics.

Back then, it’s was only cumbuck xalimos and their Jamaican BF who were doing cringy one-side gender war. Literally just talking to themselves.
but overall, Social media was a very private and a quite place. Most interactions/activities were happening in real life still.

Dating was all about snapchat i remeber when it came out early 2010s. online dating wasn’t a thing back in those days so you’d always meet people organically or thru facebook. if you liked someone you friend request and slide in the dms thru messenger . people were less on their phones but always had wired headphones in.

I remeber how instagram came out and everyone thought it was retarded. now instagram is the new communication tool espcially meeting people or dating.

People weren’t heavy into drugs at that time either expect weed and alcohol but even then in canada i remeber when it got legalized and now pot heavy smokers are common. I feel like drug addiction and normalization of usage is much more common now.

Being outside was amazing only went inside for water or to use the bathroom and sometimes I wouldn't be allowed back outside if I came back into the house.

My teen years before I was 15 was spent hanging out with my friends. Going cinema, bowling, boating and so on. Then I got gaming pc after that smartphone and social media took over. By my late teen I socialising with my friends more online then in person.

I was a teen in the 2010’s it was fun. In the early 2010’s social media was not that big, apart from Facebook lol everybody was on FB back then. In the mid 2010’s IG and Snapchat became popular. But overall, social media didn’t really consume people’s lives like it does now.
