That's irrelevant to the context. Why doesn't most Banaadiris call themselves Banaadiris? At most, they'll identify with region they come from, such as reer Xamar, Marka, Barawaani etc, Outside of that, they may go by Somali or simply their clan.
How come you separate ethnic Somalis, (very ironic that you don't acknowledge our ethnicity), such as 'reer Samaale', but want to me to use a newfound identity to describe people's background/origin/identity who they themselves don't use? Spare me with the bs.
