I have been thinking about this allot lately but in historic texts, the word Barawa comes way before the word Somali.

without the barawa defending the southern coast, slavery and christianity would have come to somalia like it did in west africa. and without islam we would have turned out or into the Oromo. its a real shame what happened to the barawa in the 1990s, we should be appreciative of them and stop calling them non-somalis. they are the reason we have Sovereignty.

What u on, I hope u know the cad vad in barawe are recent refugees due to Portuguese colonialism in southern east Africa and nothing u talking about happened

First of the term Cad Cad isnt correct if you want you can say Reer Barawa, which includes tribes like Reer Faqi whose roots go back to the 9th century long before the Portuguese ever reached East Africa. Barawa was already a thriving center of Islamic scholarship and trade with settlers from the interior, Arabia, Persia, and the Swahili coast and the Indian subcontinent most recently, so while some families may have arrived later during or after the Portuguese period, many Barawani lineages have lived there for centuries.

The battle of barawa was waged by the Ajuraan, yes the people of barawa fought in the battle but they were not the sole combatant.

Tunni are as important to the city of Barawa as every other group that makes its fabric. Muallim Nuuri a Tunni man. Translated the whole Quran to Chambalazi/Chimini along with many Arabic poetry.

The Garre claim seems to be cap considering the fact that they were not even in this particular streach of land during this time... the Tuuni Sultanate actually maintained a policy of not allowing any 'tracks not from a Tunni, Jiddu, or wild beast' to be laid in this territory.

With this in mind and the historical context of the capture of lands from the Wardey during the 9th and 10th century and their re-settlement in modern Jubaland, it's impossible for a Garre civilian to do that
