We're dark skinned people from Sub-Saharan Africa. We're naturally going to be considered black. Why is this bad news? Norwegians and Italians aren't related but both are considered white. Racial identity has more to do with perceived appearances. If it was based on perceived appearance then vast majority of Indians would be considered black yet they are not.

Because they live in South Asia. That's why South Asians are called brown. This is despite the fact that they too live within a genetic spectrum of Dravidians in the Southern regions and Indo-Europeans in the Northern regions. They're all called brown. Same logic applies. Personally I just consider myself Somali and keep it pushing.
