Somalis are not black we are a part of the greater Cushitic race of East Africa, our genetics, facial features, culture and history has no commonalities with those of Black heritage, we actually dominated the southern eastern portion of Africa before the bantu expansion, we could have been our own race.
Somalis should stop begging to be black wallahi they don't accept us and hate us and even outsiders can see we are different to them, Sri Lankans have dark skin, are they considered black? Or what about South Indians? It is ludacris!
Also Somalis have a Caucasoid skull structure while Blacks have a Negroid one, literally nothing in common accept a skin tone and being geographically adjacent to them.
Even during the slave trade Somalis were said to be unenslavable and we were part of the Caucasian race.

Most people know somalis from that captain Phillips movie and those ni**as look unequivocally black. Black is a term created in 1700s by whites and not everyone black shares the same culture so I understand people that don’t identify with it

In the U.S. you can get into prestigious Universities(Ivy League) if you fit the requirements and happen to be black. It's like an identifier tag that comes with privilege. Overacheiving Indhoyar students are rejected while blacks with state-college level grades are accepted into ivy leagues for "diversity". This is why we sued multiple universities for this exact problem.
