Although we don't agree on much when it comes to Cryptocurrencies, I'm with @Amun this time. Ripple is the antithesis of all the other coins and the likelihood of Ripple knocking off Swift is a big fat 0. It's a flop, just like their Swell by Ripple bullshit.

Don't buy Ripple, there are tons of better projects and this is coming from someone who bought it at 0.006

I tried to convince my mom to put her ayuuto money into it.
If only I had the Somali language skills to explain cryptocurrency.
I could only muster up "Computer money, big money to be made, buy now." She told me to stop gambling online :chrisfreshhah:

How do you guys know Ripple's value will keep going up till the summer ?

There are multiple reasons why. Every time a Ripple transaction occurs about 0.0003 XRP is burned forever never to be used again. This coin is not mineable so it will overtime appreciate in value.

American Express has already confirmed partnership with the company this past year and over 60 banks in Japan have recently announced they will be utilizing XRP for transactions in the Ripple protocol.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/27/rip...k-to-some-japanese-credit-card-companies.html

Now there is a difference between the Ripple protocol and XRP the currency itself. No matter how big or small the transaction is, it will occur in 3-5 seconds with a fee less than a penny using the Ripple protocol; I believe it was .0001. Now if banks use XRP in the Ripple protocol then they get an additional 30% off transaction fees. That's a huge incentive!

Now compare 3-5 second transaction speeds to 3-5 days using the old-ass SWIFT system. It only makes sense for banks to switch over. And since these greedy bankers love out competing each other I suspect they'll all get on board like the domino affect this coming year.

Also about 55 Billion XRP have been locked in escrow and will be sold monthly to banks or FI's for transaction purposes. Eventually once all the escrow has been sold, guess who the banks will have to buy it from? Us. Hence causing the value to go up once again.

XRP at the end of the day will NEED to increase in value for banks or FI's to use properly. Since it can be actually utilized in the real world it only makes sense for the price to only go up at this point. Guys, this is a long term hold so if you don't have the patience then don't bother.

#BYEBYEBITCOIN @Amun Sorry for ur lose sxb!

So how much money do you have to put in to get any meaningful profit ?

Damn it seems like people who had it at a less than a dollar are cashing in big time :patrice:

Also someone post an article or link an informative piece about ripples.

I would check out Dre ventures, he's the best youtuber about Ripple with all the info you need:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDBEII1GHNuZn0d6Yo4IZjw/videos

The best news blogger about the coin is Hodor:

All official news releases and info updates I would follow Ripple the company itself. Good luck!

ive done some basic research for the last couple of months.its extremely volatile, any ideas on how to "successfully" invest in it?

That's good to hear. I personally don't invest in Bitcoin anymore cause of it's volatility. I suggest going for cryptocoins that have a real-life use case that try to solve problems. Not just copy-cat coins that don't have a purpose. I personally only invest for long-term potential companies. I don't have the time to day trade so I look for coins with good ideas.

For example:

Siacoin, trying to create a cheap decentralized cloud storage marketplace.

Dentcoin, trying to create a world-wide decentralized Mobile Data Marketplace (my favorite idea so far)

etc etc

Nice, personally I'm just in it to make a quick buck.Nothing sentimental like "changing the world". I would invest in ripple even though its backed by yen, dollar etc.Which is not like bitcoin etc.Ripple is backed by banks etc which even though its slow (as banks are) it will grow., investing in now before coinbase opening up means the price will skyrocket and will be a quick buy and run.

I was just about to open a thread on ripple..

Please please guys buy as much as you can I remember watching Bitcoin in its early stages below 2 dollars..and it' currently trading above 12000 pound a share...and according some serious traders it' going to surpass Bitcoin by the end of 2018 if not earlier...

I personally will be investing £1500 on Tuesday..
I would have done it now but the system won'
Allow me as I can't open e-wallet without a broker..

Try to find/calculate patterns. Also trade in certain regions and 'specialise' in those countries. A tip is to look eastwards ;)

For the love of god DO NOT BUY.

2018 will be a crypto BEAR market. You will look like the fools who bought stocks in 2007 right before the big crash.

Yes but if the server is busy, you might have to wait until it's your 'turn' to sell. Because of the volatile nature of cryptocurrency, the value might change by the time you sell. That change can be increase or decrease in value. It's a bubble that can burst anytime, but there are already ways to make money of bitcoin crash

100 euro cant hurt nobody right?
Ive read about it and it seems like a good idea because even international banks are interested for using it :manny:

I just dont want to be the loser who didnt invest when it was cheap, when its worth as much bitcoins as example
