AUN Young Somali died in UK

No. Reer london. But it's on my list of unis to apply to. I wanted to know if it was a good environment for somalis. I hear bad things about birmingham and the gangs.
I’m also from London and having ties to Birmingham I can tell you it’s better for Somalis than London

Am i the person, do i know why Palestine and not Somalia
It is just a fact, Olive trees live for 500 Years!

Also what is with the qashin!

I doubt Israel will even grow them since they are currently knocking them down in Palestinian areas. Giving water to Somalis living in famine seems more important than letting Arabs enjoy olives which seem like a luxury. I won’t say anymore since I don’t want the thread to go to a different topic.

Go to Manchester, Bournemouth or the top unis. You don’t want to go to Birmingham university walal.
I have some options. I'm applying to top a few top unis and some lesser unis. But thank you for the insight.

Run and I’ll catch you and eat you alive
Are you all at the uni of birmingham? what's it like. Is it good there for young somalis? I'm thinking to apply there.

:ohhh:
There aren’t many Somalis there unfortunately(there might be more now!) but you’ll get to meet Somalis from different departments if you join the Somali society.
It’s worth it in terms of furthering your education but if you are culturally Somali and like to have banter with Somalis and Asians then it’ll kind of be hard to make friends with white people.
I personally didn’t have any Somalis in my course, it sometimes got a bit lonely, white people can be boring sometimes. Also, it helps if you are commuting, you won’t get home sick and you’ll get to rant to your parents about all the culture shock you witness. So all in all if you are someone who’s social and enjoys joining societies, you’ll be fine but if you struggle with being around a bunch of white people and you’re self conscious then it’ll kind of be tough. It all depends on how lucky you get with your department. And if you don’t care about being social and use your time studying, it’s a great environment for that.

Thank you. I'll take that into consideration. I'm pretty confident and enjoy getting to know new ppl, but i care more about the quality of teaching there. I appreciate the new insight you've provided me with.

Is it hard to find a part time job there?

Palestine is like a first world country compared to Somalia.

Somalis who are obsessed about Palestine and fund money for it, are disregarding the principle of Somali charity which is that IT STARTS AT HOME.

First your family, then your other kin, neighborhood, village, town, city, country.

Bottom up!!!! Not the ISLAMIC DUNYA.

RIP

He died very young and had so much potential.

They choose Palestine because if they say Somalia or any village or town, most Somalis from other areas won't be contributing a cent. This is our reality and fate, we are united for other people's causes.

Somalis are also suffering back home and whenever you wanna help you should start with the closest to you but since they chose Palestine it is ok

@Zayn

Why is choosing Palestine Ok when Somalis suffer more than the Palestinians? It’s understandable if they’ve argued that Somalis hate one another and wouldn’t contribute to others in strife in other regions, but how about those Somalis in refugee camps or are internally displaced? The Somali Society of the UOB could’ve nominated one of the Somali refugee camps in Kenya or Ethiopia or the internally displaced camps to contribute something valuable to them. Helping the children in those camps with water sanitation, education or health services would’ve been more worthy than planting olive trees in Palestine. They made a terrible call.
