Islamically speaking you and your assets belong to your father.
But I don't have to worry about this scenario

They really do be thinking that. Some of the people over there don't even want to work, once they get a stable income being sent from the westIf my father asks then yeah but I am not providing for a woman and her children.. who told her to marry a broke man who is asking for money from his own children in the west to support her and the children??? People back home think we live like a billionaire with gold everywhere and shitThe time they realise you are financially stable it's over for you, they'll be calling you to send them a Range Rover
Yeah, but irl i dont even know if my dad’s alive or not lol.
Your mother is too miskeen. I would have whooped your ass with a hangerOf course he must pay back for uni and I will help him but he gotta do the most tho. to be fair he wouldn’t even need me to pay for the uni debt once he finds a good job.

He’s misinterperting the hadith. The money belongs to the child but he has financial responsibility over the parents. The parents doesn’t own the money. If your parent is poor and you a rich then you are obligated to spend on them. If the parent tries to take something necessary from the child like his house or car, then he absolutely can’t. Children are obligated to take care of their parents if the parents can’t take care of themselves. That doesn’t mean they own your checkbook.I also want to know @Javelin
Exactly looool, I don't understand what goes on in their headI know

Daleel? I’ve never heard about a persons money belonging to their parents. Yes, you’re meant to give them money if they ask.Islamically speaking you and your assets belong to your father.
But I don't have to worry about this scenario
No, no you don’t. Its your needs first, but that’s just needs. For example, you buy a car because you need it for transportation. But your dad doesn’t have a car and he needs it too. It’s your car, not your dads. But if you have the money to get your dad a car too, then you should. Your parents needs aren’t placed above yours but really 99% of us will do everything we can to take care of our parents. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Either way, it’s a misinterpreted Hadith supposedly and I knew of the bat it didn’t make sense because as a person, you’re wife, mother, kids ect inherit. Your father doesn’t have a monopoly on your wealth whatsoever. How did I misrepresented the hadith in the context of the question presented and the answer I gave
The dad is back in somalia asking for money. what does claiming houses and bankruptcy got anything to do with anything I said???
I'm talking in the context of a sum of money he's asking for to be sent to him
