I view the statement that you can’t be a non-Muslim and a Somali at the same time as likely a form of bid’ah. Somali is just an ethnicity, where in the Quran and Hadith does it say such a thing? It is a dangerous innovation by people that likely mean well but are unintentionally bringing faith down to the same level as ethnicity. Not good.

The verses in Surah Tuur really opened my heart and eyes to the truth when I was confused. What is disbelief in God? How can you not believe in a creator. Did this world come from nothing? The perfect sky, the altering of day and night, the sun, the moon, the stars, the land we walk on and the oceans. The wind, the rain, the vegetation and fruits. The creation of so many different creatures and the creation of man himself? Disbelief in God is not a firm belief but rather a doubtful phase that if God wills, will lead to a person to question and realize the true purpose of his existence and the reason for this beautiful creation he sees around him. All answers will lead back to of course there must be a creator, and then you will say ok if there is a creator then how can I learn more about him and what is the true religion. After studying different religions you will come to the realization 100% that Islam is the true final monotheistic religion sent by God for mankind.

And look at this verse talking about how we are able to get fresh pure milk. Small things but makes you think and realize that this isn’t all possible without a creator


وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَمِ لَعِبْرَةَ نُسْقِيكُم مِمَّا فِي بُطُونِهِ مِنْ بَيْنِ فَرْثِ وَدَمٍ لَبَنَّا خَالِصًا سَآئِغًا لِلشَّرِبِينَ (

And verily! In the cattle, there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, from between excretions and blood, pure milk; palatable to the drinkers.(Surah Alnahl-verse 66)

Been keeping up with my salah for the past 6 months. I would like to get better . Im deeply afraid of judgement day . I'm not built for any temperature above 78 so this is why I pray. Islam is easy and is for your benefit, believe and establish the prayer a few minutes 5 times a day and three of them are at low movement times , give zakat (it can go to extended family and it’s only 2.5percent of assets you held all year), fast during Ramadan, and hajj if you’re able to

do these and you’ll succeed inshallah

Also to clarify, for zakat on money or assets there’s a nisaab, a minimum amount of wealth that the 2.5% is calculated from and it’s a specific type of asset like jewelry, merchandise etc so not the car you use to go to work with or house you live in or clothing you wear
