I've only had one ex and we're good friends despite divorcing. Unlike other Somali dads he keeps the kids half the time at his house and buys me flowers and chocolates every now and again. It was my idea to divorce and sometimes I wonder if I did I the right thing. No offence but most single mothers I know singlehandedly raise their kids and the dad comes by once in a while to treat them.

He's totally useless on his own. He even eats at mine some days when he comes to see the kids and I know he doesn't cook because the kids tell me they eat takeaways when they're with him.
