Yes they are Africans.
If you have a problem with it then don't call yourself european or american (wherever you're from).
The world is changing, and your skin color doesn't define your country. You can be black and european but also white and african.
Most people who believe that a white person can't be african are people who think about history too much or people who think that all white hate africa when in reality I met many of them (in africa) who really love the continent.
