Are there any lactose intolerant Somalis?

I can chug a gallon of milk and go for a run and just be fine. Im thankful for my Awoowa excellent deity all the time 🙏🏼🤌🏼🥰
I am intolerant although not extremely but cheese does not agree with me. Although my favorite dish is lasagne. I would say milk today isn’t what it used to be. Our animals were grass fed and organic cows kept in cages and pumped with chemicals no doubt so many people have issues.
The best milk is the milk from A2 cows as that’s the closest to natural milk as it used it to be cows from Netherlands and France. Stay away from anything American.

My father was lactose intolerance and some of my brothers are (older) and my older sister is too. I got the traits from my mothers side. Which means Me and by little younger relatives aren’t.

My mom is very lactose intolerant and she drinks lactose free milk. I think my dad might be as well because i rarely see him drink, despite us buying a lot of it. But i am not though

Only ~24% have the lactose persistence genes however 75% consume it daily according to two studies. Something in our gut profile or general digestive system has complex bacteria (?) that can break down the lactose that does not involve the alleles.

Camel milk is also easier to drink. But I still think around 75% or more of Somalis can drink all dairy. Compare that to other groups that would have 24% of people carrying the gene and only 24% or less drinking milk. Nilo-Saharans don't even have the genes and they all drink cow milk. There is more to a pastoralists ability to drink milk beyond the usual genes associated with persistence.

Bejas actually got the most LP persistence diversity genetics. The Tutsis have maximized one specific allele to over 90%, which speaks to selection.
