When will we overcome it? Its been 30 years. If something can't be resolved quickly, then it becomes normalized. Our dysfunction has become normalized and internalized and I do not think we will be able to see peace and stability in this lifetime.
It is mental illness to continue saying 'inshallah somalia waay ficnaan doonta, sidii hore baan ku soo noqan doonan' when no ones wants to go back home and fix the problem.
Those countries cannot be compared to Somalia. At all. All these countries have minorities that have been historically abused but they worked out a plan behind closed doors and their countries and economies are thriving. Why can't somalis put aside their egos and do the same?
Also: the people who live in these countries can brag about their country's history in the comfort of their country. Somalis can't. Its hypocrisy.
Russia had a brief moment where it seemed it would collapse in the 90s, but they realized their issue was with their gov. and took the proper procedures to fix it and they bounced back.
Chinese have a long history of being slaves, but they are paper tigers and the sole reason why they are good economically. Its going to crash though.

Somalia government is more like corporation wallahi sister, because no skills/qualifications are needed for any position and only money, even our parliament is like a 'shareholder' who wants bonus payments for voting president, our president is more like CEO and he 'aligns' roles to people tribes in the shareholder parliament. All our industries now don't need qualifications because it has become more like a business where all u need is 'money' and u can become policeman, doctor, army general, lawyer.
So it's better Somalis admit what they are rather then sell themselves as a government but as a corporation, u will look legitimate before international stakeholders rather then telling them something you not and they laff behind the scenes and say we will do a photo op with you but don't try nonsensical games with nations who are so advanced and know what a corporation and government looks like.
Now the world can say ok now your honest if your corporation then your GDP will not be larger then corporation because the shareholders are not 'civilians' but just the 'elites diaspora, bakaaraha, parliament' that's why the govt never becomes a real govt, the millions of civilians are supposed to have the money in a GDP not just 'shareholders'.
Wallahi there is some corporations with a larger GDP then all of Somalia kkkkk and perform better then us, but at least they declared themselves as a corporation of shareholders or those with money, why doesn't Somalia declare itself as a corporation because everything in the government requires money not skills, qualifications, even your judge can be bought.
The thing is Somalis do not understand governance models is intended that your civilians become so rich your GDP becomes rich, so when they start to use money to buy positions, your civilians stop payin taxes ama 'suuq madow' dhalanayso hence ur govt becomes a corporation in the end where it's owned by diaspora, elites, and business people who are small number of people(1000) you cant create a GDP from 1000 people, that's why it becomes a business.
