are Somali women normalising wearing hijab in the west ?

At least they're making modesty fashionable, perhaps this is a good thing.
Modesty has even spread to weddings now, mashallah. Even celebrities are dressing modestly at their weddings now.

Hijab is something which covers the entirety of a woman except for her hands and face. The clothing must be not be tight either. I don't know what their intentions are, but these women should be advised to abide by correct Hijab and stop modelling. Being a model is clearly and without a shadow of a doubt unislamic.
Do you want naked bikini models or our models coon?

Why am I even on this thread? I don’t wear it personally but Somali chicks really normalised modesty fr fr. Back then you had Arabs who took it off to be “fashionable” but we literally do not give a f*ck yesss

Yeah they are majority Christian & some African religion
@Nilotic is south Sudanese & probably knows the numbers more accurately

Most South Sudanese are Christian at this point; there are dozens of small ethnic groups that are almost 100% Muslim; the Dinka also have Muslim communities on the border with the North.

A couple of South Sudanese girls have worn hijabs for photo shoots, but I don't know what that's about

We were more hostile to the British than the North -- and this extended to their religious beliefs.

The British made it illegal for South Sudanese to be converted to Islam during the colonial period.

Christianity was introduced to South Sudan during the colonial period, however, it had very limited success until long after Sudan gained independence in 1956; we only started converting to Christianity en mass in the 70s and 80s -- when the North-South war intensified.

We had our own 'Animist' beliefs; the main God of the Dinka was called Nhialic (a spirit) and he was worshipped as the one and only creator of the universe and all life, but he also created lesser beings to carry out his will -- and they too were worshipped, to a lesser extent.

I don't see many Muslim women wearing hijabs in Western countries like Netherlands, Australia or France. The hijab and all other head coverings is out of style for Muslim women in the Western countries.

Times are slowly changing though, with diaspora becoming of age and the kacaan generation getting older. Thankfully i'm seeing more and more being open to taking them off and dressing how they want. Our community doesn't need the extra stigma :nvjpqts:

95% of somali girls wear Hijab mashallah, honestly our community dresses modestly. Many other communities have taken inspiration from us in this regard.

At least these women aren't giving Somali people a bad name unlike the opposite gender. They are the ones that will face the consequence infront of Allah if they don't cease this inappropriate trend.
