Arabization of Sudan

The turks were chilling next to China but they went everywhere to the opposite end of the continent.
Took anatolia from the greeks and made a caliphate from the gates of Vienna in Central Europe to Eritrea in the south.
Another group of turks became the seljuks and conquered the middle east as a Iranian empire.
Another group of turks conquered India and made an empire there. Not to mention taking all of central Asia.
These nomads are mad men wallahi Cushitic Geelgires should've done the same.

Oromo are already making Ethiopia Cushitic again 😂😂 we just need to take our somali lands back including hararghe and we'll let the oromo take everything else.
Inshallah the Somali state in the future will support Cushitic Beja take over of Sudan and make them Cushitic again. Eritrea can do it's thing.
How is hararghe ours tho or bale for that matter? These areas were not populated by anything but somalk ruling families I don't think we lost any territory other than gained south somalia and much of nfd against oromos

You’d think the Arab tribes would try pushing into it heavily considering how lush South Sudan is tho

Yeah, but it's natural to take the path of least resistance, and Nilotes are not exactly accommodating; successive Northern regimes did engage in an extensive program of land theft (of Nation-sized territories), and that had to be challenged by force -- at great cost.

Nah I was talking about way back then when the Arab tribes first invaded sudan

Personally I think khadevate of Egypt had the biggest influence on arabzation of Sudan.

Why didn’t they go further south to South Sudan once they got Sudan?
Because the area was inhabited by Nilotic tribes who were pastoralist, when the Arabs arrived in northern Sudan, they found a sedentary people (Nubians) settled along the Nile valley, they mixed with them extensively and gradually arabised them. The same couldn’t be done with the Nilotic groups to the south who were pastoralists and constantly moving. Not to mention the successive governments who tried to impose Arabisation policies on them and failed.

North Sudan became Arab land much like how the Maghreb became Arab. Large influx of Arab tribes notably from Yemen and other parts of Arabia migrated & intermingled with the local urban population. Thereby, a localised Arab identity was formulated thanks to the Yemenis/other Arabians.

Yemenis/South Arabians are to the Arabs what the Italic Romans & Germanics were to Europeans. They literally forged the Arab world we know today.

Lots of Sudanese got grandparents who didn't speak arabic. It's just a few black asses that thought they were arabs who arabised the country.

Funny thing is that all north africans who arabised were only because of sections of their society who thought they decended from arabs and did it.
Arabs in the penisular never directly made these countries arab, except for maybe some parts like libya who had lots of migration.
All Arabisation was done by natives who were confused.
Most Sudanese Arabs are like 40-50 % Arab genetically from past 1000 years. Arab tribes migrated to Sudan post Islam.

We need some somali clans to migrate into Sudan. A Reconquista, Somalis are the last pure cushites left not assimilated by semites or bantus. The landheer of east Africa. The nile will speak Somali Inshallah.

If Somalis united like the Monghols we could've done the same thing
Mongol nomads had the Euroasian steppe grasslands which extends from Hungary to China. That entire region was connected through the Silk Road. It reaches 20 % of the way around earth. And it was all inhabited by Geeljires.

Just the population of nomads in Ukraine under the Tatar Sultanate was 300,000. That was probably half of Somaliweyn population. Let alone the rest of the Eurasian steppe.

That’s because the bulk of Arabians always lived in Yemen and Hejaz. The central part was only populated since the discovery of oil.

Sudan has always been a mixed region. It has always had constant migration of Arab/Eurosian people and Nilotic people. It’s a melting point due it’s geography. Go back to pre-Islam and the people were recently mixed as well (past 1000 years).

South Sudan is difficult for human migration through North Sudan. You could literally ask why Cushites avoided South Sudan and instead went to every other Horn of African country and all the way to Tanzania? Why avoid South Sudan?

I can see why arabs never settled south Sudan. But why didn't cushites touch the region??
We lived right next to them and expanded all over east Africa from Sudan to as far south as Mozambique.
South Sudan was completely untouched by Cushites even though its next to our main land.

South Sudan was the cradle of the nilotes. Very difficult migrating into a busy place. The horn was empty however with few hunter gatherers here and there.

Really? I doubt that.

If that's true then why do Sudanese Arabs and Nubians show extremely close genetic resemblance to past Nubians.

The Arab migrations are often overstated and exaggerated.

Just like how they didn't really change genetics of North African states much, they didn't change Sudan's genetics much either.

Sudan is an arabised country. Not a genetically arab country.

Sudanese Arabs and past Nubians both share similar SSA/West Euroasian percentages but the admixture dates are different. For Sudanese Arabs it’s about during Islamic period, whilst for Past Nubians(pre Islam) their admixture dates are a bit older, but still recent.

Past Nubians had more diverse Y-DNA /mtDNA but Sudanese Arabs just have Arab Y-DNA and SSA mtDNA, very one sided.

That’s true but Sudan has some tribes that score high Arabain including its Cushitic speakers from the eastern Sudan. I would say outside the Arabian peninsula/Southern Iraq/ Negev desert/Sinai the people with the highest Arabian admixture would be Eritrean, Some Sudanese tribes especially in the Eastern part, some Libyan tribes followed by urban part of Tunisia.

I think E-M78 is still the dominant lineage but we do see elevated Arabian associated J1 lineages in Sudan post Mamluk period with the annexation of their medieval Christian kingdoms like Mekuria, Alodia etc

Sudanese Arabs today are practically geneticall identical to Christian ear Nubians meaning that this Gigantic migration of Arabs that completely changed the genetics of people in the region didn't actually happen.

Also I am talking about autosomal DNA. You can have massive changes in y-dna and mtdna without a much change in autosomal DNA.

The nation of chad has majority haplogtoup r1b like western Europeans
