It wont be replacing anything not until it's fully institutionalized by the somali government and made the primary official language, at the moment youngsters learn it in school but arent very fluent. And even then it'd take hundreds of years because somalis would still informally use the language, there isnt a heavy cultural/ethnic arabic presence in the country.

Somali should have a purely ceremonial role as a language in our society if we want to progress in the future we have to make Arabic our main language.

I live in the gulf. I use the word because of that. I doubt any Somali back home knows the word. Plus, what's wrong with loanwords? Language replacement is a whole other issue.
