nubians became arabised recently so they may have less arab blood but genetic shows somalis have the least arabian dna among major horn African groups. Even oromos are more arabian than us.

You do know Arabic is the language of instruction in two classes in Somali schools. Usually, Arabic literature and Islamic studies classes. The entire class is in Arabic, the exams are in Arabic and the teacher will only speak Arabic.

Plus, many if not most masjids do their entire khutbas in Arabic back home.

In the Somali syllabus, Arabic and Islamic Studies classes are taught in Arabic. English is taught in English and every other subject is taught in Somali.

As for masjids, in PL, its very Arabic dominant when it came to khutbas. In the south, it was a mixed bag.

It is the Syrian dialect, these Syrian have contributed a lot to this language, Damascus was the place where the alphabet and grammar was standardized, Gulf states import Syrian and Egyptian Arabic teachers to teach in their schools. The dialect is the closest to the modern standard Arabic

What is there to be accepted into? Sudan is an independent country which actually hosts thousands of Syrian, Palestinian, and Yemeni refugees.
