I'm gonna explain it to you the way I explain it to gaalos women covering up is something stated in the quran. It's in Surah Nur 24:31 and again in Surah al-Ahzab 33:59. I cover up because its been commanded not to please any man or booty clap for arabs. So to keep it short the only orders im following is from the one who created me!

I dont consider religious duties and arab culture similar, this religion wasnt only made for them it was sent for all of mankind to return back to worshiping their creator. So issues such as "women not being allowed to work at night" is an arab cultural problem, where as women covering up isnt something man made.
