Notice my friends always posting pics of their husband/boyfriend all the time on their feed talking about how much they love each other when in reality they're struggling in their relationship because they're always venting to me.

You're right. People who do that do it as a coping mechanism and seek validation. The most successful people I know in terms of family and career move very quietly.

99% of people who use social media to share anything about their lives = red flag. Likely also damaged people. Only exception is if you keep it limited to only family and very close friends or if you use it to watch videos or if you use it as a messenger service.
