Hubby and I thinking about turning to plant based diet, I tried this before and was miserable but that was partly because I was eating the same boring meals. Share you favorite vegetarian/vegan dishes.
 
Because of theses cunts I couldn’t get to Work this Morning, I was at Canning Town Station at 8.45! Backlog of people going into the station police everywhere I was even speaking to them I thought it was a terror attack. Good news though, Gym Group Canning Town opposite the station had a personal tour. Did you know?? Morrison’s supermarket and Superdrug are opening in 2 Weeks at the back of the Gym.

To veganise Somali dishes just don’t make the hilib loool
Walaal your tips are not good, how can I have baaris without hilib? And what will I cook with the baaris? water :urgh: you should be suggesting fuul iyo sabayat, or rooti and shakshuka or something along those lines

Make the suugo without hilib, simples! Use tofu/quorn as alternatives. I have been a pescatarian/vegetarian half my life and ever since I figured out I’m lactose intolerant I have been dabbling in veganism too and it has worked for me :zhqjlmx:

The vegan diet is unnatural and unhealthy. Humans are naturally omnivore and is the most suitable diet for to live longer and healthier.

I know this Somali woman who was a vegan for almost 8 months received many deficiencies and became very sick. Once she went back to her original diet. She became normal and healthy again.

Unfortunately, the vegan excludes all animal products that do have some nutritional drawbacks. Rodriguez cites calcium, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B-12 and folate are all of which are present in meat and dairy products as key nutrients a vegan diet can lack.

don’t. you know how hard it is for us to get our vitamin D in the winter and you’ll be shutting off he only good sources for it. I assume you wear hijab. Winter+hijab+vegan= deadly lol.

Interesting, I always hear the opposite, how plant based diet has helped them overcome illnesses. I’m honestly not doing this to save the world or care about animals I wish I was that noble, I just want a change and to see how my body will react to it. I’m always tired and feel unhealthy with the amount of red meat we consume as Somalis.

Lol good point, I was thinking with the right vitamins I will be fine, it doesn't matter anyways as a Somali woman I will forever be vitamin D and Iron deficiency.

how about paleo instead? I heard it’s a really good anti inflammatory diet. you get to eat meat still but it has to be high quality meat. No more grain fed animals, processed foods, soy products, etc. I heard people feel vitalized on this diet.

By the way I’ve been eating a vegan diet for a while now (by circumstance not by choice lol) and I don’t feel good at all fyi... I guess it’s all about following a “whole food” diet regardless of the kind of diet it is (vegan or whatever else) that makes people feel good
