yeah but there isn't any proof of us being mixed with anything back then. most of these sources point to the opposite, an influx of genes 3k years ago. if ancient somalis were more mixed we'd have something concrete by now.

All the more African leaning Somalis are objectively less proto-Somali while they have the balls to claim they are the 'real Somalis' and the other ones are Arab mixed (Isaaq, Darod myths invoked).

Because they look more Negroid than other Somalis they assume they are the original ones and the more Caucasoid looking North Somalis are 'mixed'. Even though the opposite is true. Very ironic.

All very recent (less than 200 years ago). And being Borona admixed is interlinked with having omotic admixture anyway, that's how some Somalis acquired it. Anyways, boronas don't look that different from somalis. Nothing wrong with mixing with them provided they are muslims. They are natives to the horn.

There are big racial differences in the Horn. I believe there is a distinct Somalid racial category that has diverged strongly from other Cushites.

pure Somalis look nothing like most Cushites or Ethiopians.
