Sorry, but they were not a mix. At least not from the data we have so far. They are very similar to Middle Eastern minorities like Yemeni Jews, Lebanese Christians, Mandaeans etc.

I like to see more data on this before I make my mind up. This could be selective testing from a period where those eastern people were ruling Egypt.

The skin tone they depicted themselves was probably an artistic cultural construct.

Also, I believe the Nubians they depicted didn't look like that. They made them exaggeratedly Negroid. Probably the most Nilotic looking Nubian they saw was used as the archetype for the paintings.

The Semites and Libyans were made to seem too white for what they really were as well. All you are seeing is false depictions of the ancient world.

If you read the link that I posted the Egyptian scientist said that ancient Egyptians had more connections to land of punt than levant. And levant people didn't integrate in Egyptian community expect in 19 century. And those mummies were for invaders that ruled Egypt not real native Egyptians.

The study was like that some scientists came to Somalia and took the DNA of Reer hamar/Arab Salah. Then, they published on journal saying Somalis are Arab. They didn't test the native population. I hope that you got my point.
