Even if this news is true I doubt there will be a sudden relocation of AMISOM to Ethiopia. It will be a gradual draw which might take a year or two to complete.

Can't Mogadishu reporters contact the AMISOM office for clarifications. If they deny it, we can still gauge the reality by the way AMISOM wiggles the answer.

The UN Security Council Resolution 2472 declared on May 31, 2019 ordered the withdrawal of all contingents from Somalia.

The extraction will be on condition that the council assesses the viability of exit options and preparedness of Somali security forces.

Kenya and other countries contributing soldiers to the African Union Mission in Somalia (Amisom) are expected to exit by December 2021.

why would AMISOM be relocated there? Somaliland is peaceful. Dds is peaceful. I doubt Ethiopia needs that extra security in the region especially AMISOM. AMISOM is only looking to milk off Somalia and keep the Status quo the same.
