I dont know why HAG complain about ethiopian troops. There is only 4,000 Ethiopian troops spread out between Baay, Bakool and Gedo whereas there 12,000 Burundi/Ugandan Troops nearly 3 times the number of Ethiopian troops. HAG should shift their focus on those Amisom troops before worrying about the Ethiopians troops which small in number compared to Burundi/Ugandan.

That will never happen, HAG are content with being policed & secured by AMISON, their leaders don't give a damn, it was them who signed off on Xalane and their ports being operated by foreigners. They just don't have what it takes to be an independent people, they find the status quo as a net benefit, I doubt AMISON will be leaving before 2040, maybe even 2050.

Nearly a thousand Americans are in Somalia. That’s nowhere near enough troops to secure Somalia. They failed to defeat Caydiid with 25,000 troops.

They however are training Somali troops and providing air cover which is good.

The annoying thing is your cousin Ilhan Omar always cries about drone strikes whenever Biden orders them. Biden reversed the policy and made sure he okays each drone strike which is making the process a lot longer than it used to be.

They should only be on legitimate targets I agree. Collateral damage has decreased as surveillance has improved though and we need close air support and the strikes are always in coordination with the FGS. It would be FGS calling in strikes and America okaying it.

Drones are the most effective Counter-insurgency tool ever created.

We would normally need a large mobile force to subdue AS drones could let us make due with our weak numbers. War is filled with casualties its why we dont get punished for casualties of war.

Burundis region of responsibility is Middle Shabelle. Amisom is still one force and covers in eachothers regions regularly rotating when there is a need (like Ethiopia pulling out troops for Tigray). Here is Uganda and Burundi in Middle Shabelle and Baydhabo…

The Ugandan contingent remains the largest contingent in AMISOM with 6,223 troops based in Sector 1 which comprises of Banadir (Mogadishu), Middle and Lower Shabelle regions. They are led by Sector Commander, Brig. Dick Olum, who replaced Brig. Michael Ondoga. The current Deputy Force Commander Operations and Planning Major General Geoffrey Baraba Muheesi hails from Uganda.

Until now, Uganda has deployed 12 battle groups into the Mission area. The recently deployed Battle Group 12 joined their Burundian counterparts in Baidoa.

Burundi has no personal interest in middle shabelle so they leaving sooner or later but Kenya will always use jubbaland as a buffer zone and access to some sort of sea. Me and you both know this and your og ppl need Kenya otherwise you’ll be eaten alive within somalias borders
