Smaller Somali clans get intimidated by bigger clans or are in conflict with other Somali clans, then what happens is the losing side flees and or joins the oromo, who are more than happy to assimilate them.

My enemy as a Lander is Xamar. The enemy of the Somali State of Ethiopia is the PP which is just the continuation of the TPLF led regime but now led by the Oromos. Both regimes were on paper pro ethnic federalism/autonomy but in practice led very centralized regimes.
A truly decentralized Ethiopia with autonomous federal states is in the actual interests of the Somalis in Ethiopia. Right now there is zero political unity among Somalis in Ethiopia, this is something that the Somalis there need to work on across clan lines.
Dead men have modern day supporters. If you feel it’s in your Xamarawi interest to support Amhara that your choice but you are putting the Somalis in Ethiopia on the chopping block.
The goal for Somalis in Ethiopia is to have actual unity between themselves. Because whether decentralization or balkanization won’t mean anything when they are politically disunified and will continue clan feuds as all clans in other parts of Somaliweyn can be found in that region.
Given Ethiopia's demographics, it is impossible for the Amahara to ever again acheive hegemony. They are a dwindling as a proportion of the population. Supporting their doomed effort is good because all it does is damage the ENDF at no risk to Somalis.
The greatest enemy of Somalis in Ethiopia are Oromo Ethiopianists like Abiy and Shimelis Abdisa who want to expand against Somalis. They have purposefully appointed Cagjar president so that he ignores Oromo encroachment.
ps. If I were in Benishangul-Gumuz I would be worried about Amhara expansionism. The Amhara really want to annex Metekel Zone like they annexed Western Tigray.

I never said this nigga read again. They can’t just steamroll the whole landmass it’s straight up impossible for them. They are wearing down ethiopias security forces and costing them heavy financially and diplomatically, think pragmatically. Stop worrying about some corpses who hold little genuine legitimacy to the people there. They’re good where they are and I hope they can keep draining ethiopias resources. And if they ever do somehow take Addis they will inherit an even weaker state and face greater resistance from other parties.

By this logic Tigray would have never ruled over Ethiopia for as long as they did. It's not about sheer numbers or demographics, and it never has been. There are more Somali in Ethiopia then Tigray. It is about who wins the war and then rules with access to the might of the Ethiopian state to use against their enemies.
You may say even then Amhara cannot acheive hegemony and expand to all parts of Ethiopia, but once in power they will be able to use other Ethiopian ethnicities such as Oromo, etc as a proxy to expand into Somali land. All non-Somali 'Ethiopians' see Somalis as non-Ethiopians with no legitimacy that are to be displaced and replaced within current day Ethiopia. They are all a danger. Lets hope Ethiopia completely disintegrates.
It’s not entirely impossible. If a Habashi alliance were formed and the Amhara mended ties with the Tigrayans, there’s a slim chance they could fare better against the Oromo 'monster' they helped create by combining their efforts and their shared history of tyranny over the Oromo.
But across the border, Isaias remains a major obstacle. On one front, he keeps the Tigrayans under his boot, while on the other, he funds the Amhara. He obviously does not want an 'unholy alliance' to emerge and benefits in the current predicament.
They did not directly steal land but they facilitate land theft of Somalis whenever they are in power. Don't be fooled, Ethiopians see you as being part of Somalia and not a real Ethiopian citizen. Oromo have historically been nothing politically within Ethiopia, Amhara and Tigray are the big boys and they are the real danger. Don't look at the little fox and miss the big hyena behind him. The raw meat eating Tigray/Amhara hyena is the real danger.
They’ve essentially empowered the Oromo, lmao. It’s like blaming the angry child while ignoring the abusive father. I’m not sure if that’s the best analogy, but Somalis back home are dismissive of Oromos for a reason.
They aren’t formidable enemies, just opportunists who thrive on our disunity and disillusionment.
And that is precisely why Ethiopia will never progress or go anywhere. Every other decade a bloody power struggle ensues that leaves hundreds of thousands to millions dead, economy wrecked and debt ridden. Any ethnicity that becomes the head of the government always proclaims a grand plan for Ethiopians only to inevitable purge and destroy any opposition and the cycle repeats.
This might sound morbid but Its good for us that Ethiopia is like this. The great thing about Ethiopia is that its very foundation and framework are utterly f*cked. A patchwork of ethnicities and cultures all forced into a country with little commonalities with each other. The "Ethiopian" label is nothing more than a vague regional identity with no real history behind it for the vast majority of groups in the country. What this results in is that not a single decade goes by without some major ethnic conflict for power or secession that ends up killing millions. All that means is that it allow for Somalia to recover itself while Ethiopia inevitable goes through its nth chimpout. Ethiopia couldn't even enjoy the fruits of victory that it achieved in 1977 without tearing itself apart hence why civil war still raged on throughout the 80s which really explains why Ethiopia isn't that much better than Somalia.
The system in the country and the very idea of Ethiopia itself is inherently flawed. Contrast that to all the Somali beef you see nowadays which are rooted in political and economic issues rather than historical or cultural. At the end of the day, we Somalis are all one people so we will eventually sort each others issues and reconcile.

IMO, Oromo aspirations of Ethiopia aren't too different from Amhara and Tigrayans. They too want to see Ethiopia as a regional power and to step over the necks of Somalis hence why Abiy is making these aggressive moves towards Somalia. Decades ago this wasn't the case since "Oromo" ethnicity didn't really exist but now with the rise of nationalism and Oromumma, Oromos want to shape Ethiopia in their own vision and that vision is Ethiopia becoming a major power broker in the Horn.

Yep. African politics are brutal. Can't trust anyone but yourselves. This is why multiethnic African nations like Ethiopia struggle so much. No unity or cohesion, only xooging for power. Somalis need to understand the fortunate position they are in as being one of the few homogenous African countries.
It would be advisable to try climbing the political ladder from an outsider's perspective and become a key player in the political landscape, but it's not possible. No matter how much bootlicking you do, they won’t accept you over their own in the upper echelon. It's best for Somalia to find Glory and interfere in Ethiopia like Isaias.
