They simply have a far better quality of people then us, we won't ever come close to matching those people, it's cause how they started which was a good premise and hence what they do will always contribute towards it. Who knows we might take that approach de-arm the warzones in the future, and set up military and say create something that is at peace with yourselves and the world and say untill we satisfied you aint going nowhere. These ppl are the ones who taught the jews how to be organised and i admire that about them, africans however haven't recovered since the mali empire ruled and the university was destroyed some could argue that it was since egypt fell that civilisation ceased to exist (to a high standard) in africa. The mistake africans made was not competing for the world and keeping their military powers up to date with other nations which would later lead to the carving of africa in the 20th century, many africans lead a nomadic or trade orientated lifestyle instead of building up permanent empires with kings and strong generals. Africans also reacted to invasions by siding with the enemy against their fellow africans instead of uniting to stop the common enemy.
Interesting points raised. Are you saying the west taught the Jews how to organize? Africans reached the farming stage especially the Bantu and once you break that barrier, it's pretty clear something must proceed because people won't sit there twindling their thumbs and staring at each other after their food sources are secured.
I think Bantu or any farming orientated community had great civilizations. All the ingredients are there. Not so much nomadic communities as they were too busy fetching water for their livestock, so they would not have time to sit down and create an empire. You need food and water secured before you proceed to the next phase of development, ideas, etc. I mean a good example is what me and you are doing now, we are settled in communities, our food and water secured.
It's only going to progress to other stages after that unless of course if their is conflict and not being able to live, because that will stop you dead in your tracks once security is jepordized and everything else is secondary and not important.
I think the gem of civilizations and knowledge would be coastal communities as they would have access to a boat and could explore the world and come back with a multitude of ideas, far more then someone who is settled and can't see beyond his own village or community.
The key to a coastal civilisation would be they would've of needed a settled community along the coast. Is there any coincidence why coastal folks tend to be more open minded and happier then farmers? farmers ignorance is high bro because they don't see anything beyond their farm, where-as the coastal person will encounter difference through trade or exploration, that simple boat will bring him into contact with difference and he adapts to it.
I guess with farmers you can learn how to operate in a community or group and keep the peace, there are some benefits to them, where-as nomadic folks you can learn about their knowledge through travels, conflicts, etc(diplomacy) is where you want to learn here. Coastal folks also diplomacy skills as they encounter different people through trade or exploration.
Coastal and Nomads would have a far HIGHER IQ in my opinion then someone who is settled, absolutely far HIGHER. You can't compare a traveller to someone who hasn't travelled and their mind-set afterwards won't be the same. That's how we need to plan our team in the future for ambassadors and diplomats. Select markers. Coastal or Nomadic origin, then rate within those circles, ensure he studied it also plus he has it in his blood to do diplomacy as he comes from such background that requires it to survive.

Why you think they need militaries bro? Diplomacy is a hard hard game, even the prophet had to resort to force at one point and he is one of the most influential person in history. Diplomacy is great tool, it's just a very hard skill, probably the hardest in the world. Getting what u want without spending a cent or life or giving up anything in return or if you even do give up something it so small or minor on your end it's like giving him a cigarette in return for his most prized asset? that ain't easy and their no point being a hero about it and acting like it is.

Nah military might only useful to eliminate the immediate threat, they can't sit there for decades funding a military, it's too expensive. 60k per soldier x thousands EVERY year, accomodation, food, equipments, it's maintaince(the more u use a tool sxb science applies it starts to age and needs replacing), lost of life is another one.

I don't like this idea sxb that people say countries seek to destroy others, you only destroy those that you know is going to a bad team that is coming for you, the ideal situation is they do infact rise and contribute towards your team, that's a bonus for world powers not a negative at all. The question really is, which team your going too and that will decide if they will scramble or not which is the war part comes from, it's the scramble for what side u add too.
