When you have sex with someone it’s in your interest to ensure that it’s consensual. Think twice before you coerce, blackmail or pressure a woman into having sex with you. The girl said in court she was too scared to protest because she was pressured and thought it could get violent. Some victims of rape even say they froze during the assault. Even if she laid in bed naked, it’s still rape if she has not consented.

Also, we are not sure what her plan was. Maybe she thought they would be smoking weed, drinking, socialising etc. Everything you wrote does not suggest she consented to sex with all three of them.

Also, she was 16 years old, she could have been naive to enough to think she made some friends and wanted to chill with them. I think Somali men assume rape is attacking someone in the street and dragging them to a bush. You really think a 16 year old gave consent to have sdx with 3 strangers who look like thugs and rob people. Or it was more likely that she was naive and didn’t know what she was getting herself into? If you do, you’re instincts are very bad.

Anyway another angle of this is the hypocrisy in the Somali community who were wearing hijab whilst protesting on their behalf. At best, these men had sex with an unmarried woman to celebrate Eid and at worst it was rape. Shameful.
