I cannot stand any type of American accents. I find them annoying and harsh on the ears:manny:

I don't like the Canadian accent either. its like a dopey version of an American accent

Disgusting. Polar opposite. Also, do you seriously think a Canadian accent exists? Besides a few words here and there, there is no such thing.

the few differences it has to a typical American accent makes it even worse. its like a roadman version of an American accent.

tbh, i hate any accent that isn't a standard London accent. i don't mean the cockney chav nonsense.

the only differences are words we say that are closer to you guys

versatile pronounced versa-tile rather than versatull for instance

other than it is pretty indistinguishable from the american variety

there is a high-raising thing going on in the northern provinces but we're talking less 10% of the population that speaks that way. imagine a white person from seattle but not as moronic with vocabulary and you pretty much have what we have.

tbh the standard toronto accent is how english should sound like. pronouncing each letter like it actually exists rather than pretending r's and t's are optional.

be'ah for better wa'ah for water. ridiculous :mjlol:

I prefer my British tongue I sound rather posh outside the internet realm. I truly am baffled at where I got my accent from as I live in a land filled with Chavs and the Brummy accent bluegh !!

The UK has more accent diversity than the entire US.

Some of those fringe Scottish and Cornish accents almost sound like totally non-English languages.

I have a thick German accent when I'm speaking English.

Yeah right.. I grew up in Germany and when I speak English you can't even tell where I'm from other than that I'm not from the Anglo world and probably from somewhere in Europe but not geo-specific.

Most of the educated young Germans do not have that stereotype thick accent.
