I feel sorry for Americans who have to pay like $500-1000 a month into health insurance.

Here this medicare card in Australia is all you need to present to GP offices, Public Hospitals, Specialists, Any surgery at zero cost to the consumer. It's paid thru 1% tax on your income. Avg income 60k, will be pay 1%, that's $600 a year. Thats $50 a month. Plus we have way better health outcomes, highest lifespan in the world.

Even all our medications are subsidized becuz govt interferes and make sure pharmaceuticals has to deal with them only or lose our market, won't cost u more then $20 the most expensive medication which are like $50,000 in America

You hear terrible stories in America, ppl being turned away from surgery to die becuz they don't have insurance or they need sell their property. An illness isn't the person fault, it shouldn't be turned into profiteering. Imagine some guy wanting to check ur wallet while your in hospital at death, serious ethical issues

Im sorry but your American universities are profiteering rackets, 200-300k for university fee is ridiculous. The max u will pay here for most 4 year bachelor is 25k, plus it's paid for by govt first and u re-pay interest free when u r employed and earning over a certain income like 50k and even then it's 1% installments.

Heck even students here get universal student payments, around 1.5k a month plus they can work part time up to 20 hours to top up.

I have a crackpot theory the life expectancy in America is being intentionally lowered so it doesn't age as quickly as it's peer competition in China and the EU.

Our healthcare is single payer not that crap in America. All working age ppl pay 1% of their salary into the medicare pool and our govt manages it setting the prices to the medical industry. Its also universal, even if u don't pay in, your covered. It's among the the top 10 health outcomes in the world. We pay far less then americans and have far higher outcomes.

@GemState the problem with american system is this. They let private industry get involved which means their level of care will be compromised due to profit. Plus their system would work in theory if the working class weren't getting poorer since reagan deregulation and war on the unions.

Their system envisioned the working age to pay for themselves, the unemployed to be covered in medic-aid, and the elderly through medicare. In theory it should work, but they fucked up when the working class starting getting poorer and leading to large chunk not being able to afford it.
