Consider disconnecting from him as he appears to only take without giving - a classic trait of a parasite. Unfortunately, it seems a lot of Atheists often project their unhappiness and inaction on the absence of a deity. It's noteworthy that he wouldn't trade something as precious as his eyesight, a gift he played no part in creating, even for a vast fortune of gold and diamonds. Yet, he still refuses to acknowledge the one who could've crafted him.

Truth be told, there was a girl I knew back in school. She confided in me that she stopped believing in God because during her childhood, she fervently prayed to her Hindu deity to prevent her parents' divorce. However, her prayers seemingly went unanswered, and as a result, she chose to deny the existence of her creator.

I don't think that tafsir is correct. also, the sharia specifies a very severe legal punishment for apostates. also, Muslims and non-Muslims are not equal.

I'm all for kindness but Muslims should never water down Islam.

Many fail to understand Islam is an ethnic marker. Islam is their ethnic identity. To be a Turk, or a Somali, Hausa, Persian or a Malay, or a host of other Islamic peoples, is to be a Muslim.

Turks and Persians, many of them aren't even Muslim or religious, tell them they have to be Muslim to be considered Turk or Persian and see if they agree, their governments may force them but the people especially younger folks don't want it.
