Looool were the originator of dhanto ahahah this is Saylici. This dance is done in Djibouti, Sland and I think in Dire DhabaThis looked like dhaanto to me
First time hearing these other dance names
Harimadee is only performed by men and is more of a war dance traditionally practiced in the Somali Galbeed and Djibouti by Gadabuursi and Cissa. I didn't watch it to confirm just thought it would be interesting to provide some context. What is saar? This is a cultural dance done in Djibouti and am pretty sure that the northern part of Somalia (sland) does it aswell. I think it’s called Harimadee but I can be wrong.
Thank you. I like it as well. I learned it years ago.Np problem! I love saylici aswell it’s soo regal, elegant, and unique.![]()

Is Waamo only a small region of Lower Juba or the whole of NFD and Jubaland? @AbaqIt is not Saar. Ladies form semicircle or arc and sing praises all men do is get into rhythm and jump up and down. Atleast that's how it's done in Waamo, Joore and Waasoow(NFD).
Classically, everything between the Jubba and Tana was known as Waamo. Waasow, Joorre, Dhesheeg Waamo, Faafi, Shawaay etc were regions within Waamo. Some people nowadays restrict Waamo to just Lower Jubba which is nonsenseIs Waamo only a small region of Lower Juba or the whole of NFD and Jubaland? @Abaq

Everything between the Jubba and Tana, and the Indian ocean and the Dawa river is called Waamo clasically. Bounded by water on nearly every side except the stretch between where the Tana turns towards Mt Kenya and Moyale. Degodia came later, Ajuran and Garre were Boran sheegadsEven Degodia, Ajuraan and Garre land between Ganaane & Ganaane Maro?
