Alhamdulillah Just Got Promoted

I received the great news of my promotion to Operations Manager at the site of the sailing vessel manufacturing company, i work for. I was totally not expecting to get the job, i made the application on my break time, out of boredom.

In just four years, i went form a lowly plant operator, to then team leader (supervisor), to then department manager, and now in charge of all operations at the factory.

Alhamdulillah, such a great time in my life. Life was very different just mere months ago, when i had to file to bankruptcy in October last year, after a failed business venture, left me in serious trouble. Alhamdulillah, my mom had some savings of mine in safe keeping, around £45k to fall back on. That really helped me get out of trouble. I was honestly rock bottom. My wife was totally none the wiser about my bankruptcy.

That just goes to show, if you ever find yourself in a dark, tough times, never lose hope, keep the faith, have iman, stay strong, remain steadfast, and In Sha Allah, the days will become bright.
Hard working man mashallah. Inshalaah you can transfer your skills and wisdom to the homeland when you choose to. I wish you success and happiness brother! I find that having good family during tough times really helps you a lot which is why i plan to be a pillar of rock to all my relatives and hope they will do the same for me.

I love it when somalis do well.

:salute:

Bro, the key is finding a job that you LOVE. I love my job. I'm a keen sailor myself, i currently live in the coast. My job dont even feel like work to me.

Try to get into a industry that interests you.
What degree did you do if you don't mind me asking? i heard there are some really good degrees to get that allow you to be versatile.

Im not gonna lie, i utterly detest UK madows (afro-Caribbeans) and Asians. Almost all fights and issues ive had with people in my 22 years living in this country has been from these two communities.
Keep it calm sxb! don't let the haters get to you. I can hate the ppl that insult me but i never generalise or hold grudges to the point it influences my professionalism.

Then it's time we start shipping them over. I will tell my relatives if they need a job.

Ive been suspended from work by this company, three times, all for racism and prejudice, against black and asian people. Ive now got to seriously put a cap on the old racism.

Dude you're a big steaming pile of camel dung. Hopefully at your new job karma will catch up with your sorry arse and your nuts will end up in a vice.
POS!

You know, when a new King ascends to the throne, he should start his reign with one act of mercy and one act of harshness. I think my one act of harshness will be to fire the first Madow that acts up.

In Sha Allah, i am already making plans to move back home. I give myself at least 10-15 years before i and my famlly make the move back to Somalia. I have political aspirations, of running for Puntland presidency in about 25 years.

In that time, i want to both get to know the locals and them getting to know me, by establishing a sailing vessel manufacturing company in Bari. I wish to provide jobs, and contribute to the people, rather than be a usual person from the diaspora, who turns up to run for political office, without having done a damn thing for the people, apart from being from clan x or clan y.

Bro, i never went to university. I was talked out of it by my dad, to pursue a trade (plumping, carpentry, electrician and so on). I then became a stonemason.

Arma since you now have a title and cash establishment. I will not be totally opposed to change my title from "Eedo" to "Wife # 2 or Wife # 3 provided in our contract we can add a law clause where it states sexual contact will be one time a year. Feel free to speak to my dad, your grand father. :)

Also guys, know the importance of SAVING. I lost tremendous amounts of money, about £120k, in the summer of last year. I was soo low. I would come home very late, even though id finish work by afternoon time. I was very volatile, i was a total wreck.

But, then i remembered that my mom had a substantial amount of money for me, that i had saved in my late teens and early 20s. Rang her up, and picked it up the following weekend. That money was such a relief, i mean, it was like I'd been saved in the nick of time.

Id seriously hate to imagine what it would be like, if i didnt have that money saved. I would seriously recommend that people save, save, and save. You never know whats coming around the corner. Its absolutely of utmost importance to have something set aside for a rainy day.

That is my advice to you Somalispot.
