There are almost no customs along the giant Somali-ethio border. One of the largest shared borders in Africa and if they do exist they are A, hard to find or B, require you to go way out of your way and/or C, probably corrupt and disjointed from the federal government anyways lol.
Airports make no sense, why would I take a plane when I can just take a 8 hour car ride? Much cheaper and way more convenient. Especially since most people immigrating probably donβt even live near an airport. To expect people to go to addis to fly to garowe when they are like 5 hours from garowe by car is a bit unreasonable.
How? There are quite literally thousands of Somalis living in and born in Somali soil who donβt have a legal identification themselves. So how on earth can you expect an immigrant to reasonably have one?

I mean I get your point, my issue is that Somalia has so many more issues that should be at the forefront and immigration βin my opinionβ is at the lower end of the totem pole.
like yeah sure we could be cracking down on this, but if we do, how much improvement will that bring us compared to cracking down on other issues like corruption.
