And majority of somalis speak standard Somali but most somalis on social media speak mudug or xamarawi due to having ties to muqdisho. I always feel out of place whenever I watch one of their videos.

Waqooyi dialect is closer to standard Somali than other dialects. Written Somali is basically waqooyi dialect without the dh.

In Mudug dialect they add -hayaa after the verb for example: tagahayaa, cunahayaa, imanahayaa etc. In some instances they replace rt with dh when it's in the middle of a word for example: ma jirto -> ma jidho.

RSL, Jabuuti, and Ogaadeeniya should reform the vowel system. How can you tell XABBAD for XABBAD for one then you have the songle consonant in XABAD for chest.
