Believe me when I say it. Most Somali girls have daddy issues whether their parents are married or not. It’s about time, some of the young men step back and actually understand that when many young women have seen their mum’s aunts and the list goes on hurt, it will negatively impact their views on men. I was shocked to see the amount of girls I’ve met with screwed up family dynamics and some of them aren’t even daughters of single mothers. It’s shocking. I noticed the same similar sentiment back home when I visited at the end of last year. It doesn’t even start with these girls, even the older women sometimes say stuff infront of them with regards to their trauma.

I highly doubt Somali men think Somali women are evil. They have no reason to. Somalia is patriarchal as is our culture. A lot of the issues actually works in favor of men. But I can see young men thinking young Somali women as being evil particularly the Western ones due to them unloading their trauma on to them and constantly slandering them. That’s the issue and of course the young men are going to hit back.

I know but it's still does not justify there behaviour and only carries on the cycle. Every single somali girl I have spoken to Has given me a backhanded compliment at the expense of somali men in general and most don't experience any of what they complain about they just personalise the experience of others on to themselves.
Somali guys as a whole can't step up and be expected to accept the lack of respect especially when what we are being attacked for has nothing to do with the vast majority of us. Even then I don't think most of us mind and are willing to deal with it and you girls know that.
Somali women need to learn to separate and not personalise and self victimise themselves based on the experience of a few.
Us new gen somali men haven't done a thing to somali women but if for example a farax is being disrespected by a xalimo with issues and he leaves her that's her continuing the cycle by bring her old issues into a new relationship.
The point is somali women aren't the only women to have suffered at the hand of there men yet there the only ones that do this and neither do they take there issues with them cross culture so why do the same across gens.

How do you know they haven’t seen a lot of issues in their own parents marriages, aunts and the like? My parents are still married Alhamdulliah, but I’ve seen some screwed up stuff with family members, cousins and the like and going back home also left a bad taste in my mouth with regards to the lack of accountability of Somali men, obviously not all. In the real world, I have enough emotional intelligence to not let that get in the way of my relationship and tried to the best of my abilities in the talking stages to not judge a man based on other people’s experiences.
Let’s be real, this attack doesn’t happen in real life, only online. In the real world, many of you lot won’t even be attacked if you decided to leave your children and the list goes on. Your dealing with the frustrated rants of young women online, that is it.
It’s not the experiences of a mere few. At this point it’s become part of our culture. In nearly every wider family, there is at least one father that has decided to not bother with the kids, or father that spends most of his time at cafes and hardly provides or one that has went back to Africa at 50 to marry a 16 yr old whilst the wife works in care. There is at least one. Most will have at least one uncle or a bunch of uncles like this is if they’re lucky enough to not have a father like that.
With that, you’re right, we’ll have to wait and see. I can’t say at all that younger Faraxs do this or that. But what’s also an issue is that Faraxs between the ages of 27-35 aren’t doing as well as their female counterparts. The issue is that admitting this, is an ego killer for a lot of men. So now we have young women on attack mode and young men whose strategy is to deny reality.
