is badly needed. For one Mogadishu is a one clan dominated city makes no sense to be the capital. Secondly its the largest city which breaks the unwritten rule of capitals. Thirdly it has far too much bitter history that makes everyone distrust it.

I would nominate Galkacyo its only fault is that its landlocked but that can be worked with. Another option would be Baydhabo but its too far south and has the issue of being clan dominated.

The capital should be a city (or a town) shared by diverse clans like Gaalkayo or Erigavo. Mogadishu is literally surrounded by Hawiye towns and villages and the city is dominated by them since the civil war. Should have done what exactly when AUN was alive both Xamar and Galkayo had green lines. Why should PL sacrifice its 2nd biggest town and 2nd financial center with wadaagsin project and garacad project ongoing. Why should Puntites sacrifice their lands for koonfur to have a capital which will even create insecurity for all of PL regions.

Puntites sent its troops and spent all its budget to pacify Xamar, open the port and airport and reestablish rule of law, PL did more than its part to resurrect a national government, why can't other regions or towns do their part and take responsibility for a secure capital like southwest, hishabelle etc why should PL was again sacrifice for somalia when locals in koonfur have contributed zero?

I meant he should of moved the capital but I digress. I agree with all your points, but if we moved the capital, we can set the country forward on our own terms?
