A group of MPs put forward a motion to impeach Farmaajo

I think you do not follow the Somali politics very closely. It is Puntland that is chasing for a completion of the constitution. It was under AY who hails from Puntland and brought governance back to Xamar ( in case you want to belittle the contribution of PL to the central government), it was under his government that a draft constitution was made. Since his departure every centralist president, including this current weakling, did not even attempt to complete the constitution. It was and still is PL politicians that always bring up the issue of completing the constitution.

Here is our minsister reminding Farmaajo and co to complete the constitution

By all means lets make binding contract between the member states and the central government in the form of a constitution.

But be assured that we covered our tracks. In the absence of a nationwide constitution, Puntland shall act as a sovereign state. We wont wait.

You asked for an example of a country wherein regional states set their own foreign policy. I gave you an example, now you want to divert the topic on how bad it is. Do not be a typical Somali that enters prejudiced a discussion. Be open minded.

It says in our constitution ( at least PL has a rectified constitution unlike Somalia) that PL shall have the status of a sovereign state until FG implements a nationwide constitution. Listen to the passionate above speech of our minister

Where was the FG when we were busy building the state in 1993 under a tree. It took until 1998 to formally formed PL, it took years of deliberation. It is not FG that safeguards our safety or made sure that a kid in Garacad has the same school curriculum as the kid in the top corner of Hurdiyo and Baargaal.

If they think we will give up our hardworkes project that easily, they are in for a rude awakening.

Where is your family from?
It's obviously against Puntland's interests for their to be a strong and far reaching Federal Government, however the basis of this current government is based on bringing all of the federal states to heel and leave all foreign affairs to the Fed Government. I am all for trying to reestablish a Federal Government, but I could change my mind depending on how the next 6-10 months play out with all of the upcoming elections and changes in Federal states. There might be some new Pro-Government faces in JL/SWS and maybe even in PL. But that is yet to be seen, political landscapes change quite fast in times of turbulence. Another thing that should be noted is that compared to previous governments Farmaajo hasn't reshuffled his team compared to the former talking head stooges. He's also made us relevant again in the eyes of the international community. Which is why you see the interference from the Khaleeji states. But I think Farmaajo needed this to wake him up to the fact the enemies never sleep so we must always stay ahead of them and defeat them at every turn. As the true wadanis put it. Nin lagu seexdo ah seexan.

@Abdalla is reasonable, then you have psychopaths like @Thegoodshepherd

And the ordinary people in PL are wadanis, like most Somali regions.

What's the difference between the two users in terms of political outlook?

The best scenario would be that I help my federal state and help the national state. If that is not working, for example now, then I will help my federal state, and hope that you do the same and develope yours. Meanwhile we can come to terms as to on what and how we will cooperate. These are the two logical possibilities. A third possibility is for me to forego my federal state and my regions and instead help yours. I think you'd agree that would be the very definition of insanity. Labo qaawan isma qaaddo as the somali saying goes, I won't feed my cousin if my brother is starving.

As of now, the people of PL focus on their state while pushing for a completion of the constitution so that nation-wide cooperation with clear obligations and rights becomes a reality. That is how Somalia as a whole will benefit. I fail to see how that is un-wadani, quite the opposite IMO. On the other hand you have the FGS not wanting to complete the constitution that will regulate the relationship between federal states and central govenrment. Why is that, if FGS is so keen on having the federal states listening to them?

Who is more wadani, the one that developes his regions and pushes for a constitution for all the federal states so there is a regulation for the relation between federal state and FGS? Or the one that screams "Dowlada warkeeda hala maqlo" and is not willing to complete the constitution that will give the FGS that very authority?

I vote for the first one. And that is the vote of the ordinary people in PL.

Fair enough. Maybe my co fgs supporters who know more than me can shed light on what's going on there

@AarLibaax @Sheikh @embarassing @nine @Von
Essentially the Constitution which was most likely written by Puntland itself is designed to forever kill centralism. It is because of that the Xamar continuously “delays”it but in reality they refuses to sign it. The aim of the capital is to capture the southern territories and kill the federalist Constitution and force a new constitution that gives the Centralist power over Somalia.

Puntland puts pressure on Xamar to sign it but it’s dead in the water because even the blind, illiterates and corrupted badiyo Somalis know that it’s bad for Somalia.

In turn @Abdalla claims that until Somalia signs the deal Puntland will operate with its own constitution even when it operates in a way that hurts territorial integrity in sovereignty of Somalia. Essentially Puntland is part of Somalia in theory but in practice it’s Somaliland from within.

@Dues Ex Machete would you agree with my analysis?
I beg to differ the most bantu looking mj are cismaan maxamud from bari i can take a picture of my nose to prove it

LOL cutting themselves off from somalia (without aimlessly chasing independence) is probably the best thing puntland did for themselves. Can you imagine if you guys were loyal to the capital? Poverty levels would be sky high, it would be a barren wasteland of destitute people but they would be waving blue flags and chanting farmajo ii geeya. If other regions were smart they would do the same thing, somalia is a death trap and patriotism is punished apparently. qashin government only tries to appease to people they are afraid of. walahi where my family is from, its like its not even considered a part of the country, that's how disconnect the fg is from their people
finally someone with a brain, dont expect any logic from these people.

Its beyond me how obsessed these people are fix your home before you preach about mine, bunch of weirdos we see through your fake nationalism.

@Kingcobra essentially

You guys are stupid. Even a baby can tell that these so-called “MPs” have been bribed by foreign powers. They are just doing what their master Saudi Arabia is ordering them like good little loyal dogs.

God save Farmaajo!

Somalis need to quit fighting amongst themselves over petty matters like qabiil & unite upon race.

I honestly don't care what type of political system is implemented as long as it does not cause disunity within our people. If most Somalis are in favour of Federalism then we could look in to German federalism as a good model that we could replicate, since it fosters unity amongst the Germans but respects regional autonomy to a certain extent.

Lol@this murursade attempt at dividing me from my closest of kin on sspot. Me and TGS are 4-5 generation seperated.

@Kingcobra This is the kind of people we are dealing with. Instead of coming to a reasonable middle ground, he is advocating for delaying any kinds of agreement. My wishes are in the open, we put our cards on the table. It is them that are playing silly games by delaying the process and therefore maintain the current status quo.

Kingcobra, next time you feel like criticising Puntland, I hope you take our frustration and experiences with these people into account.

We will not wait for them to grow any modicum of decorum. It is clear who is a spoiler and who is willing to move on. We will not lower our speed for them to catch up.
