Tbh, it depends on what time frame you consider modern history. Makane and Shiidle are clearly Bantu from their features and genetics have strengthened this with many reer Shabelle madow emerging with overwhelming Southeastern(Bantu) ancestry.Shiidle were not enslaved in modern history. Same with Makane
i also feel like this Burqad person has this obsession and problem with British Somalis due to the majority clan that live thereEvery other post of yours on here is fellating them and complaining about Somalis who don’t accept them. A Somali kid living in England who can’t speak Somali is still more Somali than them. Pretending British Somalis are the only ones who look down on them is weird too as they’re discriminated against in Somalia and most US Somalis avoid them.
I have never in my entire life met or heard a single UK Somali irl or online talk about Somali bantus good or bad, so what on earth are you talking about mate? they literally do not live in the UK AT ALL.the hatred towards them is mostly online from Somalis (usually in Britain) who have never been to Somalia but are desperate to be more Somali than someone else.
This is without mentioning his wild theory of Ilhan Omar's dad being temporarily excommunicated from the Majerteen clan for marrying a cadcad woman. This is laughable, to say the least as we have in this forum members who are Mj-cadcad mix; whose fathers never faced any prejudice for their choices.@Burqad will have you believe that Shiidle & Makane are Omotic from Southern Ethiopia without citing any sources. He is a massive fraud.
Italians were biased in calling them freedman, since they wanted to seize their land.Tbh, it depends on what time frame you consider modern history. Makane and Shiidle are clearly Bantu from their features and genetics have strengthened this with many reer Shabelle madow emerging with overwhelming Southeastern(Bantu) ancestry.
Furthermore, I have seen Italian sources describing Kabale Makanne as Baadicade freedmen and Reer Baare as former slaves of a Somali clan I don't remember now.
The only way Bantus could arrive in the Shabelle Valley is coming to the Banadir towns via slave ships and thence descending into the inland region by caravans.
I don’t care about that at all, just British Somalis who have never lived next to the people we are speaking about should not converse on them and try to bring western narratives like this one.i also feel like this Burqad person has this obsession and problem with British Somalis due to the majority clan that live there

Ilhans dad is MJ rightIlhans dad was (temporarily) kicked out of his clan for marrying a banaderi.
Are you saying Ethnic SomAlis were enslaved? The moobleen? He’s right Shiidle were never enslaved (in recent history atleast). But many freed slaves, mostly from Moobleen a brother clan of Abgaal, did join them after being freed.
My sub live with them in Jowhar and Mahadaay and every elder I’ve asked about this topic tells me Shiidle were never enslaved by us. As we expanded closer toward the river we came across pre existing Shiidle communities who were there first.
Over time they were been pushed to just the riverbed, and even that is shared now. But overall we treat them much better than other Somalis in all departments except marriage, which they themselves also see as taboo.
Not only MJ but Osman Bah Dir I think.Ilhans dad is MJ right
You misunderstood me. I meant Bantus freed from the Moobleen eventually joined the Shiidle clan afterward. Moobleen were some of the biggest slave owners along the shabelleIlhans dad is MJ right

their clothings says otherwiseThis isn't a hit on Somalis as they are Somali Bantus. No one will recognize them.
Oromos and Xabashi women wear that in MN. And the average American can't tell anyway.their clothings says otherwise
Some Bantus could have come from early expansions, they lost their language due to being surrounded by cushitic speakers for a long time unlike the recently arrived enslaved ones from Tanzania. The presence of a divergent swahili dialect(chimini) in Barawe also supports an early bantu settlement in the South. This dialect is ancient and can't be derived from recent contact with southern Swahili dialects so tell me, how couldthe barawani, a mixed group of somali(tunni), arabian, South asian ancestry speak a distinct swahili dialect without being in contact with Bantu speakers ? They also have bantu ancestry by the way, do you think they adopted the language of their imported slaves? Doesn't make sense. From the few somali bantu/Madowweyne dna tests I have seen, those with no recent link with East african slave trade(like the mushunguli from Tanzania) can have considerable somali admixture(one had 40%) so they either acquired this admix early on or the so called taboo of intermarriage didn't stop them to mix with somalis in recent times.Tbh, it depends on what time frame you consider modern history. ''We Waz Native N Shieet'' funniest shit i heard in long time now, bantu in somalia came as slaves either by somali or british and italiens who brought some bantu from neighboring country as workers as the native people refused to workSome Bantus could have come from early expansions, they lost their language due to being surrounded by cushitic speakers for a long time unlike the recently arrived enslaved ones from Tanzania. "Other evidence that has been provided is the presence of Kwale pottery dating to 11thcentury and 15thcentury in Muhigia near Brava(Barawe), which is believed to belong to Bantu speakers (Spear 1977)."
Answer my questions or don't quote me, if you don't got the answer just tell me I'll understand it's fine''We Waz Native N Shieet'' funniest shit i heard in long time now, bantu in somalia came as slaves either by somali or british and italiens who brought some bantu from neighboring country as workers as the native people refused to work
there's no evidence whatsoever that bantu ever expanded in horn of africa except for kismaayo aka halfbreed who's their lineage is not bantu but foreign, berawe founders and builders are tunni/garre few immigrant won't change that factsAnswer my questions or don't quote me, if you don't got the answer just tell me I'll understand it's fine
I just shared evidences of this expansion but I never claimed they were there before the tunni or garre, they met them there. These halfbreeds have some Bantu lineages and speak a divergent Swahili dialect, you still haven't answered how it came to be if some bantus weren't present there. All over the Swahili coast, foreigners adopted Swahili from natives they met there, it wasn't brought from India or Arabiathere's no evidence whatsoever that bantu ever expanded in horn of africa except for kismaayo aka halfbreed who's their lineage is not bantu but foreign, berawe founders and builders are tunni/garre few immigrant won't change that facts
Bantus didn't border somalis in any large numbers. We expanded onto bantu lands only recently but got stopped by the British. Bantus arrived in somalia from south eastern Africa as slaves. If your theory that they were just neighbouring bantus who got assimilated then you need a dna test to prove that. Some Bantus could have come from early expansions, they lost their language due to being surrounded by cushitic speakers for a long time unlike the recently arrived enslaved ones from Tanzania. Large number or not, Bajuni/barawi are bantu speakers so they interacted directly or indirectly at some point. You're talking about the recent darood expansion that pushed out oromo(orma)from Jubba/eastern Kenya towards the Tana river but I'm talking about older events. Its a silly premise, just because Nigerians speak English or their creolized version pidgin doesn't make them Germanic. Swahili was a lingua franca from Sofala to SocotraLarge number or not, Bajuni/barawi are bantu speakers so they interacted directly or indirectly at some point.
