Ive got a xj cherokee and i go off roading at times. there are location in my region we are allowed to to that . When your off roading and on dirt road your vehicle doesnt travel the same way on paved roads. Im not say your vehicle cant but if you do its a uncomfortable ride and too bumpy. also going a slower speed on unpaved roads will have less wear on your vehicle

To be fair, most of that land is too arid to do much of anything with without serious rehabilitation like what they've done with the Loess Plateau or the sorts of methods Savory talks about. That’s not true I had a young dude drive us from Garowe to Ceerigabo and my boy was pushing at least 130km/h but the roads on that route where pretty decent tho so I can’t really speak on bosaso to hargeisa but 30hrs is str8 cap

Yeah fam some stretches of the road is dirt but for the most part shit was paved. Still a long way to go tho I’m tryna see 3+ lanes like a real highway.

I know from Hargeisa to Garowe it took 12 hours with 120-130 Kmh, its around 75 mph. I dont know the route of Hargeisa to Bosaso but the roads are more likely to be rough, so i will estimate around 16-20 hours

Also Hargeisa to Garowe is around 650 KM, Hargeisa to Bosaso is around 1000 KM. Hargeisa to Jigjiga in K5 is 150 KM, Hargiesa to Diri Dawa 300 KM, Hargeisa to Djibouti 500 KM. Looking at distance, Hargeisa to Bosaso is as far as Minnesota to Indiana which takes approx. 12 to 13 hours.
