A Generation has passed since the 1998 Declaration.



Yes we achieved many regional and federal govt miles-stones since 98, but did PL gain maximum 'value' from those 25 years? No-way Near it, We wasted just from 2009-2023 in a stalemate with the SFG. In this 14 years we could've of completed our social and physical infrastructure' age and opened a new chapter >>>> market development. We didn't use the 'time' productively is my disappointment only.

I hope we can bring in a new and brave declaration similar to the 1998 Declaration. Now that 25 years has passed, we must discuss a new 'way' to ensure no more conflict with the SFG, a new way that can guarantee PL for the next 100 years to be left alone to do it's job.

It's in PL constitution hadi 'isqabqabsiga' si dheerado, if the political instability continues, PL will convene together for another new declaration. I would love the 99 year 'treaty' status on PL in the spirit of china/hong kong 'two system 1 nation' model, allowing PL to be fully independent, while the SFG focuses on it's own tasks, and every 25 years PL/SFG can do a once in a generation federal/PL reviews to see if the conditions are ripe for union and if not suitable, PL will continue in it's independent status untill such time when the treaty expires and we have 3 options then;

1. Extend it for another century
2. Declare a sovereign state which the world will welcome as they can evaluate our performance over 99 year period.
3. If by some chance the SFG has reached the conditions PL demands, PL can 'safely' yes the keyword is 'safely' merge and complete the federal union.

Extreme unionism without safety conditions is just as dangerous as extreme secessions which south sudan regrets. This model will allow us to enjoy both worlds, while mitigating both union/secession 'risks'
