Fahima and Farah were originally from Ceerigabo but moved with their family to Lascanood to escape the clashes and to continue their education. They were allegedly r*ped by 24 men, who either took part in the assault or facilitated it. After both sisters were r*ped, they were also stabbed. One is currently in a coma and the other is in shock. Please include both Fahima and Farah in your duas, as they are in a very difficult situation right now.
The men have been arrested by SSC police, apart from one who is still being searched for. The pictures below show that the majority of these boys appear to be under the age of 18.
The question is whether these two will receive justice, which means all 24 r*pists and facilitators must face the death penalty. Or will this turn out to be another pointless igu sawir, as it usually is in Somalia. I will post all updates in this thread.
Frankly, I have had enough of Somali politicians, clan elders, and the police burying cases like this and the victims not receiving justice. Somali men in positions of power will lobby for their own interests. They will create states that go against the constitution, like Galmudug and the current SSC, which do not fulfil the requirement of two gobols. They will create jabhads, and they will also form clan militias when they feel threatened or to land grab. It is time for Somali women back home to lobby for their own interests on a large scale, because receiving minimal justice is unacceptable, and I truly do not see Somali men in positions of power carrying this out for us.
